Salima Hassas is a full professor at Université Claude Bernard-Lyon1, affiliated to LIRIS-CNRS Laboratory, where she leads the SyCOSMA research group on Cognitive Systems and Multi-Agents Systems. She is also the Program Director of the 2nd level of Master in Artificial Intelligence.
Her expertise is in Artificial Intelligence, considering social dimensions (Multi-agents systems, Human-robot interaction, ethics) and developmental learning. She has served in scientific committees of major AI conferences (AAAI, AAMAS, IJCAI, SASO, ..), served as an associate editor of ACM TAAS journal for more than ten years. She is an expert for national and international evaluation committees and research funding agencies, including H2020 and Horizon Europe. In this context, she has been appointed as Vice-Chair for several panels and calls. She is also involved in actions that promote gender and diversity in research, education and society.
