Laura Po is a Web and Data Science Associate Professor at the “Enzo Ferrari” Engineering Department of the University of Modena e Reggio Emilia, Italy (UNIMORE).
Her research interests include Linked (open) data, Visualization of big datasets, Web and information systems, Data Integration, Semantic Technologies, Natural Language Processing, Sustainable and Smart Cities. In 2009, she received the title of PhD in Computer Engineering and Science and co-founded DataRiver s.r.l., a Spin-Off company devoted to data integration and clinical studies.
She was involved in several international and national projects and wrote more than 40 publications in international journals and conference proceedings. Recently, she led the European Project “TRAFAIR – Understanding Traffic Flows to Improve Air quality” co-financed by INEA CEF Telecom from November 2018 till April 2021 that received several awards both in Italy and Spain.
She is also a member of two Interdepartmental Research Centers at UNIMORE: DHMore on Digital Humanities and AIRI, the Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center.
