Context
The goal of this final project is to immerse you in the real world of data-driven decision-making: often messy, constantly changing open data from multiple providers, real stakeholder questions, and the need to quickly and responsibly transform signals into actions.
To this end, you will land and catalogue releases in a mini data lake, shape and historize them into a relational data warehouse, and surface trusted KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) through a Tableau[1]dashboard powered by OLAP queries you design.
Along the way, you will practice the habits of modern data teams: versioning and metadata, incremental pipelines in Talend[2], quality checks, and transparent assumptions. Choose a topic that matters (mobility, health, energy, tourism… ideally aligned with the SDGs) and show how data can inform choices with clarity, fairness, and impact.
The project will be assessed in the form of an oral presentation and a demonstration. By demo day, your team will deliver not just charts, but a repeatable analytics product that turns public data into decisions.
