TRANING OBJECTIVES

The course aims to equip participants with conceptual and practical tools to:

  1. Understand key concepts of Gender+DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), and intersectionality in research and innovation.
  2. Identify how social and structural factors (e.g., gender, ethnicity, class, geography) shape research design, data collection, and access to innovation.
  3. Detect gendered and exclusionary assumptions in research questions, hypotheses, sampling, and experimental protocols.
  4. Integrate sex-disaggregated and gender-sensitive variables into data collection and analysis plans where relevant.
  5. Strengthen alignment of research practice with Horizon Europe/MSCA requirements on gender dimension, inclusiveness, and societal relevance.
  6. Develop more responsible, reflexive, and inclusive research practices across disciplines.
